Join me in supporting the Issaquah Alps Trails Club. this is a local non-profit that I volunteer with whose mission is to promote and protect the public lands around Issaquah including tiger, Squak and cougar mountain.
A couple of projects that I'm excited the club is taking on:
SR-18 - ensuring wildlife and trailhead access during the redevelopment.
High Point- helping shape the gateway visitor center to the cascades.
Climate Change- the club is collaborating with the city of Issaquah, other non-profits, and land managers to think about how we can collaborate to both value the alps as a carbon sink and prepare the alps to thrive in a hotter drier world.
For All- the club has hosted a regional workshop on diversity in the outdoors and continues to seek ways to break down barriers and welcome everybody to enjoy and protect the Issaquah alps.
