Eric will be running a Marathon in memory of Katy Stewart! Help him raise money for Katy's Courage!

Hello everyone, my name is Eric Tortorella and I am a senior at Miami University of Ohio. This past winter, I decided that I will be running my first marathon on October 13th, 2013 in Chicago. Shortly after making that decision, I realized that I would need motivation for my marathon and quickly thought of Katy Stewart. Katy Stewart was a young girl who inspired thousands, including myself, with her fight against a rare pediatric cancer. Unfortunetely, Katy passed away at the age of 12 in 2010. I will forever remember Katy as a young girl that always had an infectious smile on her face.

In memory of Katy and her courageous battle, Katy's family has recently started a foundation in her name. This foundation, Katy's Courage, is dedicated to education and support for families and children through scholarships, support for children’s bereavement counseling, and pediatric cancer research.

My goal is to raise at least $5,000 dollars before my race in October. ALL of the proceeds raised by this fundraiser will be donated to Katy's Courage.
