My name is Michael, I'm the campaign coordinator.  I've lived in Atlanta, Ga for almost 23 years but recently I've moved to the Dominican Republic.  I've met so many people that visit this lush, beautiful island on vacations or weekend getaways.  People come, drink, visit the beaches and live a great life for a few days- and they should, they've put in the hard work in the States or wherever they're traveling from and deserve a much earned break.  But when tourists come, they don't always see the "real" island- you know, away from the resorts.  The wonderful people that work in those resorts, bars, restaurants, beaches, airport, grocery stores, etc often don't earn enough money to adequately supply the youth of this country with everything needed for school or education.  There are so many children and families in the barrios and countryside that are just barely getting by on enough money to eat, much less buy their children school supplies.  I started this charity fundraiser to give back.  I hope you can help.  Thank you so much!
