The children of the Clark County School District need our help. Due to the current pandemic, students are learning virtually, and families with low to moderate incomes have added stress: their children are in danger of being left behind. The academic coaching business, Teachers2You, created a nonprofit to address this educational gap to ensure all children are provided the necessary opportunity to learn. We need your support to reach as many children as possible.

Brandy Tillmon, a teacher in the Clark County School District with over 20 years of experience, founded Teachers2You. She recognized that students weren’t provided necessary educational assistance tailored to their learning styles and learning abilities. The state of Nevada cut the District’s budget causing an estimated shortfall of nearly 40 million dollars and vastly reducing services for students. With almost 70% of Clark students eligible for free or reduced lunches, she knew that these students did not have the means to supplement or even access education in a virtual learning environment. Brandy saw that, “these students did not have 24/7 access to computers or Wi-Fi while virtual learning was taking place. Many of them stopped ‘showing’ up to school because of this issue. Something needed to be done to lessen the opportunity gap with these students, so the Teachers2You Foundation was created.”

The Foundation will reduce this gap by working with schools to identify low-income students, students with disabilities, English learners, racial and ethnic minorities, students experiencing homelessness, foster care youth, and neglected or delinquent youth in detention centers and prisons who need coaching.

We also want to serve children of essential workers. While these workers are ensuring we are safe and provided for we can ensure their children are receiving the academic coaching they need. By identifying the unique ways children learn and providing more personal attention, we will inspire children to be confident and independent learners. With proper support and encouragement, these children can learn problem-solving skills and negotiate their own success through self-empowerment.

We can’t do this without you! In order to provide academic coaches for these children, we need your financial support. These children deserve to receive the same educational opportunities as everyone else, but they are in danger of being forgotten.

Please donate today, and let these children know that they have not been forgotten. Everything helps.

Thank you,

Teachers2You Foundation
