For my 30th birthday, I’ll be riding 30-ish downhill trails at Galbraith (which is, conveniently, almost all of them). All funds raised will be going to Vamos Outdoors Project here in Bellingham!
On August 15, I’ll be ringing in my 30’s by mountain biking 30-ish downhill trails at Galbraith... which is, conveniently, just about all of them by my counting. The entire effort will be anywhere from 50-70 miles and who knows how much elevation gain (I’m a bit scared to map it and find out).
All proceeds raised will go to Vamos Outdoors Project in Bellingham. Vamos helps eliminate barriers that make it harder for Latinx and English Language Learner families to participate in outdoor, recreational, and environmental education activities. The Vamos a Galbraith program provides bikes, helmets, and safety gear for Latinx and English Language Learner youths, and hosts weekly mtb rides at Galbraith. These rides help build confidence and bike safety, all the while fostering cultural empowerment, confidence, and leadership skills.
First thirty donors can get a trail shout-out if they’d like, and the ride is open to anyone who’d like to join in for some or all of the fun and suffering :)
