Denmark High School opened in the Fall of 2018 and started a brand new theatre and choral program. While we had an amazing inaugural year, we still have needs for equipment and resources for the program to flourish.
In our inaugural year, Denmark High School Performing Arts offered chorus, musical theatre, drama, and technical theatre to students in grades 9-11. The Troupe performed four shows, placed third in Regional One-Act Competition, and second in State Literary. The Chorus performed several shows, one in collaboration with a local adult choral group. And the season culminated with a summer camp for 48 elementary children to promote the performing arts and give back to the community.
We have big plans for year two as we welcome a new Freshman class and will be serving students 9-12 this year. The 2019-2020 season will be filled with new shows, new talent, and BIG dreams. Starting a performing arts program is a challenge and our community has been amazing! We look forward to continued growth and know that to provide the level of training and support for our students to excel, it takes resources. We cannot thank you enough. The arts are a vital part of our school and our community.
