More Info

Two summers ago, one of our brothers, Michael Doherty, passed away in a tragic accident while walking home on Mother’s Day. Mike, endearingly nicknamed Doh Boy, was an incredible friend to us, and always brightened up a room with his genuine, heartwarming smile. Mike was an accomplished mechanical engineer in Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering and a gifted athlete who was the incoming president of the club hockey team.

Mike was a great athlete and compassionate person. As a way to continue Mike’s legacy of touching the lives of everyone he met, this year we have partnered with Bridge II Sports, a local Durham organization that provides adapted sports programming and special events for youth and adults with physical disabilities. We believe that this organization embodies Mike’s love for sports as well as his drive to be a caring friend to all people.  More information about Bridge II Sports and the great work they do in the Durham community can be found on their website at Any donations we receive for this event will go directly to Bridge II Sports enabling them to continue to their amazing work.
