I'm raising money for my business Dawning Day Creations! Our focus is preparing for The Black Women's Expo in Chicago! We want beautiful signage & enough supply of our products for the estimated 30,000 women who attend!
Hi, my name is Lecretia and I'm the owner of Dawning Day Creations. I make handmade African print bibs and booties, headwraps, and cultural greeting cards. In 2013, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and I wanted her to wear vibrant African print fabrics like I did. However, I couldn't find anything in infant or toddler size, or I wasn't impressed with the quality. Instead of waiting for someone else to find a solution to my problem, I taught myself how to sew! After making my first pair of baby shoes I thought maybe their are other families looking for culturally relevant baby clothes. That question drove me to start Dawning Day Creations!
With your contribution we will be able to smoothly transition from a sole proprietorship to an LLC, get beautiful branding and marketing materials made, purchase fabric and supplies at wholesale price and always be ready to provide products to our current retail store partners and customers!
Lastly, we are so excited to be vendors at The Black Women's Expo in Chicago, on April 12-14th. Even though we are mentally ready, raising $3,000 would take a huge weight off our shoulders, allow us to fully prepare for the estimated 30,000 women who attend over the weekend and hit all of our business goals in 2019!
Our family, friends, business partners and customers all love and believe in Dawning Day Creations. We hope you will too! Thank You!
