Many of you know this, but for those who don’t, our dad has stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized into other parts of his body.
If you know our dad, he's the most giving person you'll ever meet. Always raising money for others & pouring into everyone but himself. He would never ask anyone for anything, but in this season, we are asking his friends and family for prayers and any donation that can help him.
This came as a heartbreaking shock to our family, because if you knew our dad, he is a sensitive, loving man who has spent most of his life helping underserved communities of people rebuild their lives through his mission work across the country.
Things are changing rapidly for him as he’s undergoing the beginning stages of what is going to be a long road in his journey battling with cancer. Medical bills are already started to fly in and while insurance is helping, it is most certainly not covering the weight of what this means financially.
Sadly, our dad had to sell his house and move to a smaller place to help offset some of the weight of the cancer treatment cost, but it’s not enough. Every dollar is counted at the moment, which is why we’ve decided to ask for help.
This is a time that has brought us so much closer as a family and has deepened our relationship with our dad, and we’re all rooting to keep him here for the long haul. Anything you would be willing to donate will impact his fight, and will certainly impact our time with our dad.
It’s been hard to see what this is doing to him, but we also see that God is working through him in this experience. And the transforming affect is impacting all of us. Anything you can do to help us on this journey will be met with deep gratitude.
With Great Love,
The Narvaez family
