Update #1

Update at of 04/18/2023 - I have purchased two runner rugs for him to practice walking on, he is pulling himself up and walking a step or two before he falls down, but he gets back up. I use Churro treats as his motivation, and I try to work with him when he's hungry so he stays motivated. I'm still making sure that he is getting plenty of nutrition as we continue on this journey. I have had him on a double dose since Thursday (4/13/2023) and it seems to be helping. Please continue to share and pray for my littlest fur baby.
And again, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Info

This is my youngest fur baby Quill. Two weeks ago I noticed a behavior change. He wasn't cuddling, he didn't want to eat as much, and he was losing weight. I bought the pretty litter and it indicated that he might have a UTI. I took him to the vet and I received antibiotics. I administered them as directed and he was getting worse. I gave them a few days to work and then he started walking like he was drunk and lost so much energy he would start falling over. So I took him back to the Vet and they told me it could be a number of things. I was familiar with FIP as an option but knew only the  blood work could hint that it was possibly FIP. There is not a test to confirm this diagnosis at this time. The blood work came back two days later and eliminated most of the other possibilities (blood clot, hypothyroidism, and toxic exposure). I had fur mother's intuition and had decided to start him on the FIP meds the day I took him to the Vet and had the blood work done. He has now been on meds for 8 days (as of 4/10/2023). I have enough meds for 14 more doses. But this medication is extremely expensive and I also have to have blood work done every four weeks to turn into the medication provider so they can monitor his progress. Treatment typically lasts 84 days but with his slow progress, it may take longer for the blood work to show that he is cured. He could not walk 8 days ago, and he still can't now. But he is showing movement of all for feet and legs, he is holding his head up, rolling over and scratching his head, as well as grooming. He could not do anything 8 days ago, so he is improving slowly. Please if you cannot help share just so he gets all the prayer he can. I need my little fur baby to survive. I've lost two animals in the last two years (one to old age and one to cancer) and I can't lose another. Please help by sharing, praying and donating. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH.
