Jessie Hernandez’s smile and giving heart is remembered to this day by those who she loved and cared for. January 26, 2017 marks the second-year anniversary of the day Jessie Hernandez was killed by DPD police officers in the Park Hill neighborhood in northeast Denver, Colorado. Jessie who would have turned 18 this past November is survived by her parents, extended family, her five younger siblings and countless people in community whom she impacted in her short life.
Let’s show the Hernandez’s that their liberation is bound to our own. We have opened a fundraiser to help the family with much needed extended survivor support to cover expenses such as food, transportation, emergency clothing, heat during winter, medical expenses and other necessities for the family. Through this fund we hope to support the family in helping them meet their safety and security needs as well as personal and financial stability, and their health and well-being.
