Update #5

Exactly a month ago, India Against Corona 2.0 launched with a few volunteers driving around Delhi with a spare oxygen cylinder in their trunk, looking for a COVID Patient to help. Now, we are running 10 different projects, and with #Kasbai collective, our initiatives have reached to ‘communities at risk’ in 16+ states and counting. As a part of #Kasbai, we hope to bring relief to ‘communities at risk’ and ensure that COVID relief and resources are accessible to those who need them regardless of their background or where they live. In the graphic, you can see some highlights from our monthly impact report to see the impact we have had so far.

Additionally, Ambassador Walter Lindner of Germany paid a visit to our auto-ambulances to hear more about the initiative, you can check out the photos here: https://twitter.com/AmbLindnerIndia/status/1394525635461017600

Update #1

Thank you to all of you who have supported us so far! We have been able to get a lot done on the ground (concentrators, cylinders, human resources in hospitals, 20 auto-ambulances and more!), and are excited to announce we will be expanding.

Fortunately, the international community has mobilized over the past few weeks to support India. Unfortunately, most of the attention has been focused on metropolitan areas. Many smaller cities and rural areas are experiencing COVID surges and have very limited access to resources.

Today, TYCIA hosted a zoom call with 30 grassroots organizers posted in smaller cities and rural areas across India. These folks are doing amazing work but do not have the connections and privileges we do being based in Delhi. This is why we have decided to form a coalition: pooling our efforts to ensure that the goodwill of those abroad can reach more Indians, regardless of where they live!

This is why we have increased our goal to $50,000. With the help and input of our new partners, let's take our projects pan-India!
