We're raising £3,000 to support the people in England whose income has been affected by Coronavirus and they are now at risk of falling below the poverty line and joining the already 14 million people in poverty.
Before Coronavirus hit the UK, it was thought that around 14 million people were living in poverty, however, now up two to million adults have been estimated to have lost their job and there are certainly more job losses to come. This means that the number of people living in poverty will rise upwards of a hundred thousand!
Nobody should have to choose between eating and paying their bills. that is simply an unacceptable choice.
Can you help us raise the £3,000 we need in order to provide grants to people in immediate financial hardship? These grants are used for food, rent arrears, white goods, and basic household furniture.
With a family of four shop coming to as much as £500, we need to raise as much money as possible as soon as we can.
