Costa Rica's economy depends mainly on tourism, and due to the Corona Virus Pandemic that the world is suffering right now, there are going to be major consequences in Costa Rica.

December-April is the summer in Costa Rica, it is the ‘high’ season that the locals depend on, to work like crazy to see them through the low seasonal months of May-November. Not being able to make money right now will cripple them for the rest of the year and beyond.

With little to no government support in the country, our focus will be to assist those that the government will not. The people that walked the beach all day long in the heat, relentlessly, to provide for their families. Just because these people were not profitable for the government, it doesn't mean they need to starve now or rely on to delinquency in order to bring food to their homes and families. Risking prison, just to get the basics?

These are hard-working people, of all ages, desperate to provide for themselves and their families, please, let's unite!

I desperately wanted to find a solution for the kind, hardworking locals that I see around the town daily. I teamed up with 9 amazing people that also live in the area, wanting to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are hit the hardest during this pandemic. We are now in the process of creating a charity: 'Relieve Sustain, Maintain' (RSM Foundation), fundraising immediately in order to help with the immediate crisis.

We will then create longer-term projects to support these families to find work once the quarantine has ended because for sure, once it has ended, things will not go back to business as usual for the people working in tourism here. May-November is the low season, they may not be able to find work in tourism again until December.

We are visiting the families to find out exactly what they need, creating partnerships with local farmers/fishermen and will soon be ready to deliver food packages, toiletries, clothes, etc to the families, assist with their rent and bills and ensure that their children are safe and able to maintain education.

We will send details of the registered Not for Profit Organization as soon as it is completed, and we will document on social media the work that we are doing so that you can see where your money is going and the families that you are helping.

Your financial support, however large or small will be hugely welcomed and greatly appreciated by the families that are so desperately struggling right now. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to offer any support or advice.

Thank you in advance for your love and support!
