Corey has been a fan of roller derby for years. It wasn't until we met that they started NSOing for Providence Roller Derby. They get asked all the time whether they're going to recruit or not and every time they say, "I can't because my body won't let me." I know that they can do this. For our anniversary, and Christmas, I made a pledge to buy them a recruitment session. I had all of the gear and skates figured out, but it turns out that the skates need new plates. We can't afford the plates and recruitment sessions, mostly due to the fact that we moved into a new apartment recently for some necessary reasons.
Unfortunately, roller derby is an elitist sport in that it's so damn expensive. There are a lot of people that want to play that are not able to because of the gear, travel, and dues. I want to brighten this human's day by finally making their dream to play become a reality.
I am only asking for the $140 that it would take to fix the skates, no more. If you're unable to donate, please share with your communities!
