I am competing to win a state title at the East Coast Regional Casting. If I win a title, I will go on to compete at the national level in Florida at the Miss US International Pageant.
Sheena Pradhan is competing for a title at the East Coast Regional competition for Miss US International. Winners at this event will go on to compete at the national pageant, Miss US International. Miss US International then goes on to represent the United States at the international level at Miss International.
Sheena is a first generation Indian-American and is proud of her Oriya (state in Eastern India) heritage. Sheena is looking forward to work on her platform of increasing diversity in the media. She admires South Asians like Aziz Ansari and Mindy Khaling that have broken down barriers for brown faces in North American media and hopes to do the same.
Sheena is a fashion editor and writer for Brown Girl Magazine and Zee TV. She went to school for nutrition and founded her company, Nutritious Balance, a nutrition consulting company after college. The 26-year old is now transitioning from a career in nutrition to a career in fashion editorial, which she hopes to pursue full time. In her spare time, Sheena loves working on her fashion blog, modeling, and refurbishing furniture.
