Update #15

Hey everyone! One of my professors is putting out some college critters at my school this week and I am so excited! I hope to find some other folks who are willing to put some out in their area. In the meantime, we have some new book box book wyrms up on the site at diversedimensions.shop!

More Info

(Keychain Critters - Turtle Model)

I am about halfway through my Anthropology/Sociology Bachelor's degree at Eastern Oregon University. My youngest son is currently receiving a lot of necessary medical care (he is autistic with high support needs, and he suffers from seizures), and this has diminished my ability to pay for the rest of my degree. I will be using my art and any donations to help me complete my degree, and below is a full walk-through of what I will be doing to help gather donations (physical events and art sales, as well as support from my online art sales, etc.) I’ll be updating this campaign on at least a weekly basis with information on any external money raised, how my school terms are going, and any scholarships or grants that I am able to accrue.

It is my hope that I will be able to raise at least enough for the next term during the current term, so this campaign may be going on for a few months. There will definitely be events and new polymer clay models introduced throughout!

(Critters for College - Ghost Writer Model - Ghost is Glow in the Dark)

The goal for this campaign is high (the cost of higher education has gone up astronomically in the last few years), but I want supporters to understand that I won't be working just through donations, here are some other ways I will be working towards this goal (all of which will be reflected here so people can keep track):

  • All proceeds from my website and etsy sales
  • Any art fair events that we attend (more to come!)
  • Grants and Scholarships I will be applying for
  • Possible tutorials or other events (physical and virtual)
  • We'll be making many keychain critters and hope to drum up excitement in the local community with giveaways

So let’s get down to the nitty-gritty! Why is my total what it is and is the investment in my education worth it?

My current GPA is 3.5, not counting my classes from this term (which I am showing here in this image). I’m doing great in these courses and I have worked hard to get here and I intend to work just as hard to complete this degree! Juggling these courses and the care of my son can be difficult, but I have the drive and motivation to be successful in academia, I just need a little help!

The total that I am raising is based on the current cost of $305 per credit for my 91 missing credits. I am attending Eastern Oregon University but I am taking these courses fully online from here in Colorado Springs. The rest of the campaign goal will be going towards books, other institution fees, and the fees for the campaign itself. While the total amount may seem unwieldy, I will be doing more than depending on just donations, I’ll be creating critters to thank my donors and to sell on my website (Polymer Clay Art | Diverse Dimensions | Colorado Springs).

I create polymer clay critters, and I’ll be doing college or education-themed models! We will have keychains, or full sculptures, based on your donation amount. The images that are shown here are examples of some of my work. If you’d like a sculpture of a specific animal or theme feel free to reach out as I will be taking commissions! I am also willing to add any college logo on the models if you want to show your school spirit!

You can donate based on our tiers here to get a critter of your very own, or donate any amount you feel comfortable donating. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

We've added Pokemon models! Check out our updates for more details!

Update #14

Just a quick update for everyone! I'm going into mid-terms this week and sitting at 100% and 98% for both my classes. I do have a payment to make to my school soon, so I am hoping to raise another $400 in the next week or two. If you know of anyone looking for some unique holiday gifts, please feel free to share! Keep an eye out for sales in my store as well! Thank you all so much for your support!

Update #13

Hello all! A few folks haven't responded to my email about what models they'd like me to send, don't forget! The Pokemon models are only available here on this campaign, but you can find my other work at diversedimensions.shop and all the money from any site orders also gets added to this campaign and goes to my school!

Update #11

More Pokemon Eveelutions! We've added some Sylveons to the mix! I've already begun leaving these out for folks to find.

My next term starts Monday folks, so whatever we raise for the next few weeks will go to that balance. I'll be working hard to keep that 4.0 GPA!

Update #8

Happy Friday everyone! Sending out a quick update to let everyone know that today I received a $1,000 grant from my school (courtesy of my 4.0 from last term). They are splitting it up for the next 3 terms, so that's $333 for fall/winter/spring). I've added it to our campaign total! I am now looking at needing to make about $600 before my next semester starts. Hopefully, I will put a dent in that during the craft fair coming up!

Update #7

Great news today folks! I was able to secure a table for an event in our area in July, which should help me drum up more support and make some more to add to the campaign! I am also filling out some application for scholarships and grants so hopefully we will be able to knock some of this total down! Thanks again for all of your support! If you'd like to look at some of our other products, our store is 20% off right now, check it out! https://www.diversedimensions.shop/

Update #1

Here is our first line of Keychain College Critters! These little guys are getting ready to be given out tomorrow here in the Springs! (These models don't have the keychains that our gift models will, since I am giving them away to help drum up some support). More models soon to come!
