The story of Cleo...

Like the women we serve, Cleo arrived at Georgia's House, (which at the time was in Woolen Mills)  tired and broken. She was emaciated and homeless without a name. That was 2016 and she has been part our family since that time.

We soon realized she needed a name and with much love and pampering she began acting like royalty and the name, "Cleopatra" seemed to be quite fitting. Today she is known as "Cleo".

Cleo has a very intuitive nature and seems to always know when a resident is hurting or needs love. She becomes immediately loving and attentive. She is the best snuggler, (sometimes a bed hog) but always very loving and kind. Cleo's job is to walk the women out of the house, to their cars and see them off for the day. She sits watch over the house during the day, waiting for everyone to return home. She walks out to greet everyone when they arrive.

Since becoming part of our family, Cleo has never strayed out of the yard or tried to leave; she is content. She does walk back and forth from the main house to the cottage, (sometimes determined by the best snack availability.) She can be seen attending staff and board meetings, the Thursday night house meeting...there is always a seat for her.

Cleo is the only forever resident of Georgia's House. Thank you for contributing to her care. She is an amazing part of us!
