Classic Baccarat for Online Gambling

More Info

The online game is played in a baccarat standard table and played by up to 12 to 14 players. Players can deal with the cards but mostly in casinos, there are dealers who deal with the cards.

Classic baccarat rules are very easy: it's played using a deck of 6 or 8 cards. One plays with either the banker's hand or the player's hand. On winning bets a player receives 1:1 but in some instances, there are commissions of 5% charged on bank bets. But in some instances, some live dealer casinos will charge lower commissions.

The aim of the player on the game is to get a hand that is close to 9. Aces in the game count as one; cards from 2 to 9 keep their value while the tens and face cards count as zero.

When you have a card value that’s more than ten, you should subtract 10 from the value. For instance, if you have 4 and 8 you will have 12 then subtract 10 to get a value of 2. In an event where the value is more than 20, the left digit is dropped and the right one is counted as the value of the hand. In this case, if you have a 26 the value would be 6. Suits in this game do not matter only the single-digit values count.

The live baccarat rules said, that three-card rule on both the player (Punto) and bank (Banco). These rules are automatic and you need not memorize them as you head to play the game.

  • When the player has a hand that has a value lower or equal to 5 then a third card can be dealt.
  • When punto doesn’t go for a third card, then the bank’s third-card- rule applies

Bunco’s third-card rule

  • The banker can take a third card if he has a card value of 3 but will not if the player had a card value of 8 on the third card
  • A third card can be drawn when banco has a card value of 4 unless punto has a third card of values 0, 1, 8 or 9.
  • When the player has a third card value of 4, 5, 6 or 7 then the banker can draw a third card if they have a card value of 5.
  • When the bank has a card value of 6 a third card can be drawn if the player has a card value of 6 or 7.
