EAT CHOCOLATE! HELP FARMERS

Do you enjoy eating chocolate? Have you ever wondered where does your chocolate (cocoa beans) come from? How much do farmers get paid for the things you enjoy? Have they ever tasted the end product? We hope that you could help the farmers by donating any amount you feel comfortable with in order to support the farmers and the community.

All funds raised will be contributed to help the farmers in Indonesia and Ivory Coast.

COCOA FACTS

1. Cocoa needs a certain latitude to grow.2. Price is controlled by international markets in London & New York.3. Farmers get paid less than $1.5 USD/KG of cocoa.4. 1KG of Cocoa produces 6-7 bars of chocolate.5. It takes almost 5 years before plantation starts production.6. Harvest & cultivation are very complicated and time-consuming.7. More than 10 parties are involved in the supply chain before the cocoa is exported from the country of origin.

Farmers currently sell the raw beans to international traders who in turns process the coffee and sell it to world-leading producers for 10X the price.

Through this campaign, we also aim to raise funds to buy machinery in order to help the farmers to process the cocoa locally and export the final product, which will increase their income by at least 7X.

The above machine cost is around $400K USD. It will help farmers to process around 4 tons of chocolate per month, which could boost their income significantly.

LOSERS

The complication of the supply chain leads to farmer poverty. A typical farmer family consists of 3-4 kids. Those kids are left without education due to poor harvest, weather issues, and low pay.

The circumstances are worse than you imagine, often without electricity, food, or water for days.

GOAL

We aim to improve the lives of the farmer, not only in the Far East but also Worldwide.

If you enjoy your chocolate, help us by donating any amount possible to not only help those farmers but also to increase the income and quality of the chocolate that you enjoy eating.

Finally, due to weather issues and COVID 19, farmers have been struggling to survive. We are working with our partner NGO that helps the farmers and the community.

God bless and be safe!

Happy chocolate :)
