I leave for China 7/6 and return 7/18. The study abroad program is a "Comparative Education Tour and Conference." It's PhD level and affords 6 credits for the price of 3. I applied for a scholarship that was supposed to contact back at the end of May but I haven't heard anything yet. Josh is going to front the cash, rather than I put it on my card. So, I will be paying him back for the rest of the year. Since I will also be in 2 classes from 9am to 4pm for three weeks when I return, I will likely not be working at UASP next year. It's hard for them to hold the position during an administrative period and they have someone available to take on the work so... I will also be applying to jobs and looking for a new place immediately following classes. The remaining cost of the trip is $2000.00 and I am appealing to family and friends to help Josh and I support the cost of the trip and our current living expenses. We are paying for everything by June 6th. We both look at this trip as an investment: in my further education, should I decide to apply for a PhD program at UMB and also to support my current path to a principal's license. After the summer workload, I will have two semesters left--Fall 2014 and Spring 2015.If anyone can help: $20.00-$100.00, it would be amazing.
