Five short weeks ago, Charles Estay was simply a dad, a brother, an Uncle, and a friend. Overnight he added a new role: Cancer Patient. On, September 3rd, Charles was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma Stage 4A.
On September 3rd, Charles was diagnosed with Small cell carcinoma Stage 4A. Since that time he has had to endure long road trips to doctor's visits, medical exams, and the excrutiating and unending pain of the tumor growing on his tongue. Further complicating things, he is no longer covered by insurance. Just as many of us have had to make difficult financial decisions during the pandemic, so did he. He withdrew from his insurance plan just three months ago. As a family, we are joining together to support him in any way possible, including monetary donations. We are also planning a raffle to raise additional funds to assist him. If you would like to donate an item for the auction or funds for immediate financial burdens, any donation would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to Charles' medical and travel expenses associated as well as to his daily living expenses, as he is currently unable to work and awaiting disability. On behalf of Charles and his entire family, we appreciate the outpouring of love and support shown to the entire Estay family over the past few weeks and undoubtedly in the months to come.
