Shirley Karen Mugnier, born June 17th 1962, passed away May 31st, 2018. She loved dolphins and we ask that in lieu of flowers you help continue her loving legacy in this world and support dolphin conservation.
Anyone who knew Karen knew her love for the beach. She always felt at home around the water. She sought solace amongst the gentle ebb and flow of the waves with the sand beneath her feet. She especially loved dolphins and their wonder.
To Karen, dolphins were more than just cute creatures, she loved them because of their intelligence, gracefulness, and free spirit. This mimicked the way she herself pursued life as a free spirit with grace, charm and heartwarming compassion.
To honor her, we ask that in lieu of flowers donations to be made in her name to the Taras Oceanographic Foundation and its dolphin conservation program. Please contribute anything you are willing and able to help continue her loving legacy in this world and offer support to these amazing creatures and those who have dedicated their lives studying and protecting them.
The Taras Oceanographic Foundation is a not-for-profit 501-c-3 charitable, all-volunteer organization headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. It's flagship program, the Palm Beach Dolphin Project, explores the life history of dolphins and sheds light on how the health of these marvelous animals, and the conditions of the natural resources they depend upon, also impact human health and well-being.
