Our neighbor Kelly's house was on fire.Unfortunately, she didn't have insurance and she lost everything. After years of collection, the entire house was covered with charred metal and melted plastic, including charred RV and 3/4 ton van.
Connie and Kenny are currently living with Connie's daughter as they grieve and look for another place to call home. They don't have the financial or emotional means to clean it up, so hopefully with Connie's permission, a small group of people in Hope are working to restore the land to its natural state as much as possible. The goal is to eliminate it by June 1.
Of course, the cleanup is not without costs. The metal will be sorted for recycling and the rest will be estimated to fill four 50-yard containers.Excavators are hired and there is a charge to transport and dispose of the contents of the containers. Our inquiries lead us to believe that this will cost between $8,000 and $10,000
