Our mother has been battling stage 4 cancer since July 2017. On January 22, 2020, our beloved mom went home to be with the Lord. Donations in any amount will help the family prepare funeral arrangements.
On January 22, 2020, our beloved mom went home to be with the Lord. We have the peace knowing she is in God's presence and is free from all pain and suffering. We were able to spend the last moments together as a family. Prayers for our hearts as we mourn the loss of having her in our lives here on Earth. We know we will see her again one day in Heaven.
We are still accepting donations as we have not been able to raise enough money for a memorial service and funeral arrangements. Donations in any amount is greatly appreciated. We thank you and may God bless you.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3
Update: 1/15/2020: Mom has been in and out of the hospital since December 31st. She has had two surgeries to help with fluids building up in her lungs. This week she had surgery for one of her lungs that collapsed and shortly after she experienced a major breathing complication. She was sent to ICU and has been there since. She is currently experiencing several health complications and on a breathing tube. Doctors do not anticipate our mom leaving the ICU. But we serve a great God who is our healer and we have the confidence that He is taking care of our mom. We trust in His good will.
July 2019 Update: To everyone who may already know, our mother has been battling stage 4 ovarian cancer (for the second time) since July 2017. Ever since then she has been going through numerous rounds of chemo. Most recently, she was taken to the hospital on June 20 and has not been able to go home. After a series of x-rays, CT scans, blood work, etc., doctors discovered the cancer has spread to the tissues surrounding her brain. She underwent surgery to insert a port on her head so doctors can administer chemo directly to her brain. For the past few weeks she has been undergoing intense chemo treatments, having to get three rounds of chemo every week. Doctors recently discovered that her cancer has now spread to her lungs. Although our mother has been a strong cancer fighter for the past two years, we are not sure when the good Lord will take her to heaven. We are using the time we have left with her to make the best of memories.
Many of you have asked how you can help so we decided to create this campaign as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with the prognosis and also offer a place for messages and donations. First, prayers are needed for healing, for strength to endure the chemo treatments, and peace to be in her heart and mind. The power of prayer is most important.
Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven
Second, due to her illness, our mother has been unable to work since 2017, creating a huge financial burden on the family. Even while working prior to her illness, our parents were barely making ends meet, leaving no room to save for funeral arrangements. A second way you can help is by donating any amount to help us cover this expense. Many of you know how expensive funeral costs can be for a loved one. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving whatever you can. If you are unable to, your prayers alone are a huge blessing to us. Your love and support is heartfelt. Feel free to reach out to Elaine, Jeanette, and Ricardo. God bless you!
In case you are curious about the nature pictures selected on this page, our mom always loved the country side. So these pictures depict the type of scenery she would love to be at.
