To make over 500 care packages for the homeless people who sleep at Cass Shelter of Phoenix Arizona, and to go drive down there to deliver them to those who are on the streets.
I am Christina. I have been homeless since age 15. I have slept under bridges, bus stops, and took table scraps from restaurants to survive. I have had to tape my shoes together because on the streets of Arizona, your shoes eventually literally melt if your walking the streets for too long. I was trafficked as a sex worker at age 17 , until i was able to escape my last rapist and a crisis center sent me back to buffalo ny. I was one of the lucky ones. I became pregnant at 18 and both my sons have spent half their lives homeless. We have struggled with so much since then but we are blessed to have a home. We just dont have much else to give. My dream is to be able to make enough in fundraising to be able to make 500 care packages, hand out water, food, and be able to afford to drive down to where I actually slept outside. Hundreds of people sit on those same sidewalks down in Phoenix as I did. Its 120 degrees in summer down there, were the homeless sit on the sidewalks, lost, alone and no where to go, and they are sweating, hungry and a lot of them become sick from heat stroke because the shelter they are sitting outside of, make you leave for 8 hours a day. People down there enjoy bottles of water and its like Christmas to them. I just dont have the financial means to do this on my own as Im still a struggling mom. I am also looking for volunteers to be on my team, to send donations of food, items for care packages(which ill post at a later time), and someone to drive down there and have a safety team for my protection. It gets rough in the spot I was at. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or can help with anything I have mentioned. Or even just sharing this post is appreciated!! We can make a difference in the lives of so many but I need help doing it !!! Thank you and God bless
