I'm raising money to buy capoeira uniforms and instruments for children of the Beira community in Mozambique, in Africa. Their teacher Francisco is launching an Anga Capoeira social project for them under my supervision.
There are 40 children currently signed up for the project, in which they get to take capoeira classes on a weekly basis. The project has been in place for three years now, but the children don't have access to uniforms or quality instruments to play on. We plan to purchase and ship from Brazil a uniform for each child (capoeira tshirt and pants) as well as two capoeira drums, three berimbaus, and six pandeiros (tambourines).
Beira is the provincial capital of the Sofala province of Mozambique, 720km from the State capital of Maputo. In March 2019, 90% of the city was destroyed by Cyclone Idai.
Donors will get a thank you message from the beneficiaries of the social project and receive updates with pictures and videos.
