Through the generosity of Jeffco employees the local food banks receive food and donations which are critical to the thousands of people - mostly children and seniors - who are helped each year by the food banks. While most kids rejoice that school’s out for summer, one out of eight Jefferson County children go hungry during summer months. For those students, school meals provide more than half of their daily calorie requirement – and access to healthy food during the summer months becomes a high priority for those Jefferson County families.
