Camryn's House was established to assist and support youth who have lost one or both parents and to give emotional support to the widow or widower due to the lost of a spouse, life partner, and/or significant other.
Camryn's House Inc. was established to assist and support youth who have lost one or both parents and aide the widow or widower who has lost their spouse ,life partner or significant other. Our goal at Camryn's House Inc is to support, encourage ,mentor, uplift and aide these families through a tough transition to discourage suppression and depression and create a healthy outlet for expression.
The founders Cheko Wiley-Roberts and her daughter Camryn went through a traumatic loss of there own. Cheko's husband Leroy Roberts Jr. was diagnosed with leukemia August 2005 and succumb to this aggressive cancer March of 2007.
Instead of dwelling in her depression, she had to be the strength for her daughter Camryn ,but mostly she also had a great support system.
This inspired Cheko Wiley-Roberts to take those blocks of hurt, and depression to build Camryn's House Inc. a non profit customized for others that are experiencing the same and may be feeling lost and confused and need a great support system to help through these trying times.
Our Christmas and Thanksgiving drives are just a portion of what we do. We also support the homeless and low income and during the year we are building a stronger community by offering resources for grief counseling, mental health counseling and offering financial assist.
