I am raising money for family support and house refitting during my wife’s chemo treatment. Moneys collected will be used for books for my wife while in the hospital and refitting the house to be more hands free
It started with the pregnancy of our third child. It was a normal pregnancy for most of it, but as we neared the end, my wife began to swell, retaining large amounts of water. She had trouble breathing as well, and finally stopped being able to feel the baby move within her. She called her OBGYN, who scheduled her to come in for an emergency appointment.
At the appointment they discovered she had severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome and she was sent directly to labor and delivery. On January 22nd, the performed an emergency c-section and delivered our son Arthur Cole into the world.
As part of the procedure, they drew her blood for tests. They discovered immature white blood cells proliferating her blood count. On further look, the cells were discovered to be Leukemia. Within four days of giving birth, still having not healed completely from her c-section, they took her to Roswell for further treatment.
After confirming the diagnosis, they decided to send her home for two weeks to heal from her c-section before starting extensive chemotherapy. She will be returning to Roswell on February 11th for a 4-6 week intensive chemo treatment.
We are blessed to have insurance covering her treatment, and our families have stepped up in an extreme way, providing support and encouragement any way they can. This fund is for the other things that makes battling Leukemia that much easier. Books for her to read during her hospital stay. An iPad for FaceTiming the children. Outfitting the house to be as hands-free as possible so when she comes home, her compromised immune system as less chance of running into bacteria or infections.
We appreciate anything you are willing to donate towards her.
