A year since the devastating Tubbs fire changed Sonoma County forever, its time to help out our neighbors in the north. We are raising money for the families who have lost their homes in the Camp fire (Paradise, CA)
Hello, this is Romil Rambhia and Mithun Vora again. We are representing the North Bay Indo-American Association (NBIAA) which is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization (tax id: 61-1737522).
We are two friends who have deep roots in Northern California (Bay Area). Last year in October 2017, our town and county was devastated by the Tubbs fire. It's been a year since the fires, a year since the start of our small campaign and a year of great loss but also of great giving. With all your kind support and love (240+ donors spanning across 5+ countries) we were able to raise over $130,000 and help 41 families affected by the Sonoma, Napa, Lake County and Shasta fires.

Unfortunately, the nightmare was repeated this year. On November 8th, 2018 the Camp Fire in the Butte County north of Sacramento razed the town of Paradise leaving 9000+ homes destroyed and 70+ dead with several still missing.
With this repeat campaign, we will be looking to help families who having lost their homes are truly in need of support (low income, single parent, no or limited insurance, 3+ kids, health issues or death etc). We will select families with references established via our Bay Area social networks.
We hope to raise $30,000 to help 10 families with $3,000 each. Together Romil and I have donated the first $1,000 ourselves to kickstart this effort. Any amount is appreciated. Please help these suffering families to come back on their feet again.
