I am raising funds to go towards my medical expenses. As of now I am responsible for around $80,000 that insurance has not and likely will not cover. Thank you for your donation!
Hi there! I am Caitlyn Goslee- 28 years old, mother of one beautiful daughter. In August 2019, I was diagnosed with a high risk blood cancer, Myelodysplastic Syndrome with Excess Blasts. As my doctor put it "This is pre-leukemia, lets get you in remission so we don't have any bigger fish to fry". My treatment will consist of 6-10 cycles of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. In September I began chemotherapy, all was great minus a few mild side effects! October came around and it was time for another cycle of chemo! As I entered the infusion center a woman approached me with paperwork and said I'm so sorry to do this but insurance has stopped approving your chemotherapy medication. Well, that wasn't all they stopped covering. They stopped covering my blood transfusions that I depend on weekly as well. By this point we were up to about $50,000 in uninsured medical expenses for my treatment. With the help from some amazing friends they organized a benefit for myself and my family on 11/11 (what a lucky number, right?!) and we raised a little over $10,000. That itself has mentally put me at ease! We are very grateful for every donation we have received so far! On 3/20/2020 I had a Allogenic Unrelated Match Stem Cell Transplant, since then I have been doing great!
