CAC is pleased to invite you to its 6th Annual Cultural Month and Festival to celebrate the Arabic culture and the Arab American Experience through arts.
Our Cultural Month starts on April 12 with the screening of "This is Home" film, a story of 4 refugee families starting their lives in the US. The film will be followed by discussion with Ben Echevarria, the director of the Welcome Project in Somerville, MA
On April 14, we will be holding a Youth Identity Workshop where kids will discuss their identity through art project. The workshop will be lead by artist Joy Jeha.
On May 3rd, CAC Arab Chamber Ensemble under direction of music virtuoso Layth Sidiq, will be performing at St. Emmanuel Church in Boston and CAC Children Choir will be accompanying them.
May 18 is our biggest day where we will be holding the Annual Festival to showcase artists, musicians, dancers and Arab-American small businesses.
On May 18 we are featuring:
Amal Wakkar and her Berkley ban, Bahloul lunching songs from his new CD, Alwan Dance Ensemble, Yasser Darwish and his Tannoura Show, Exhibit by Artist Yara Awad, Calligraphy corner and workshop by Hajj Wafa, Hennah art, children crafts and much more!
During the festival, we invited Arab American small businesses to promote their work and sell their products.
