Update #8

hey all,
i have recently been able to have more assessments done due to the amazing contributions i have received through my campaign.
positives from it- weve found that there are a few more things in my head contributing to the constant pain. i cant remember the medical terms, but there is something wrong behind my eyes due to the hits i sustained. which in turn has affected my balance, vision and is causing me to put a lot more effort into everyday living to be able to see properly etc.
i will be going to see a behavioral optometrist in the coming weeks to see what we can do to improve all of the above mentioned.
have also started working with another neurologist and exercise physiologist.
hoping to have some positive news to give you all in the coming weeks. time will tell.

again, without all the support both financially and people checking in on me i wouldn't have even gotten this far.. i thank you all!

please continue to share my campaign around for awareness, it takes a couple of seconds to share it around and you could be helping the process of saving alot of peoples lives in the near future.

love to you all

More Info

Hey there, my name is Chaim Welis-Stosser, I’m 26 and I live in Melbourne, Australia.

A couple of years ago between 2012-2013 I suffered 6 concussions, of which gave me a condition called post concussion syndrome. So I couldn't do anything for 2 years. Everyday I suffer constant concussion symptoms, which includes, a constant headache, dizziness, fatigue, blurry vision and anxiety/depression. I couldn’t work, study or get out much in general.

Then I got better in 2015. Still my cognitive functions weren't all that great. I physically felt good, so I could go back to work, but I still couldn’t study.

This is all up until this past November 2017, when all the symptoms just came back. It hit me hard. The anxiety crept in and as a result depression came about. All the physical symptoms, constant headache (feels like my head is being torn into 2 pieces),  dizziness. fatigue and sometimes the occasional blurry vision. The symptoms seem to be a lot worse than last time and I have also started to lose my memory/memories from recent years.

Post-Concussion Syndrome, or PCS, is the persistence of concussion symptoms beyond the normal course of recovery. The majority of concussion symptoms will resolve within about two weeks, and with proper recovery almost all dissipate within a month. In cases where symptoms last longer than one or two months, doctors may diagnose Post-Concussion Syndrome. Patients with PCS can experience concussion-like symptoms at rest or in response to too much physical or cognitive activity, often forcing them to withdraw from their usual physical, professional, and social lives.

I’m Reaching out for support, whether that be a donation to help me with appointments, medication and Specialists etc.

Due to me not being able to do any type of work at this point in time. when I had PCS. I used a lot of my savings, I didn’t have much support. And now that I can’t work, I have no way of paying for the current support I need, And there is no time frame unfortunately for my recovery. every bit of support helps me more than i can put to words.

I thought this time I would spread awareness about the condition, whilst also reaching out for support. here is a link which has more information about the condition.

Please share this around with friends, family, work colleagues and everyone else you know. many people around the world are suffering with this condition which isnt well known at all.. the more people hear and learn about it, the more they can be there for people who are affected by it and the more comfortable people who have this condition will be about opening up to someone about it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and if you donate, it would help me immensely.

Thanks and all the best,

Chaim

Update #7

hey everyone, another update here.
unfortunately things didn't work out with the physio. my symptoms have been getting worse each week, physically has been a challenge and mentally been the battle is getting tougher...
i've been recommended to go see some specialists of which i'll be going into a concussion clinic tomorrow for an assessment and then will see what they can offer to help my recovery.
ive also been recommended to go see someone at the national institute of integrative medicine.. unfortunately his prices arent all too affordable at the moment for me ( $1085, which includes the assessment and any treatments/medications)
and then there is also a headache clinic if those options dont help me with my recovery.
im truly grateful for all those who've helped me afford all the appointments i have tried, and the specialists ive seen .
here i am reaching out for help financially once again, any donation helps.. it all adds up. please share this with your family, friends, work colleagues, share with everyone you know.. not only will all donations help me with my recovery and get, (what i hope to be) the right treatment to get me better. but will also be spreading awareness for this shit of a condition, which affects many people around the world today.

thank you to all those who've donated..contributed and reached out to me... means so damn much to me.
much love to you all xx
