Update #24

Hey everyone
Quick update here
Been over 2 months now.
Symptoms still persistenting. Migraine 24/7, balance issues, dizzy., fatigued.
The anxiety feeling throughout my body has been a little worse of late.
The headache clinic unfortunately wasn't able to help clear my symptoms. But were able to pin point why I was getting some *shocks* through my head at times. So I'm able to manage that atleast now.

Getting through the days as best I can.
So appreciative for all the help and support you've all shown. Truly adding to my strength right now.

Any and all donations will be extremely helpful with my recovery as I still have some neuropsychologist/neurophysiologist to see.
Along with the everyday bills adding up.

Please continue to share this page amongst friends, work colleagues, family etc.

The more awareness for the condition, the better.

Hope you're all well

Update #23

Hey everyone
My symptoms have recently come back.
Headaches, dizziness, fatigue, blurry vision. Along with anxiety/depression symptoms.
Haven't been able to work for just over a month now with no time frame to return until my symptoms settle unfortunately.
Have really been struggling with it all as I had a really good run of health and working.. now I'm unable to do anything again.
Really needing support through this tough time.

There Is a headache clinic which I'm trying to raise funds for to go and see the specialists there. See if they can help at all.

Struggling with life payments in general aswrll right now. Rent, food and vbills with not being able to work.
Any and all donations would be so helpful right now for me.

I appreciate all the support from you all over the years.
It has meant so much to me.!

Hope you're all well and thank you

Chaim

I can send my bank details if anyone does/can help out. Can send me a message via 0433744618 and I will send my details. :)

Update #21

hey everyone,
it's been a while since I have posted an update.

things have been going really well, still having some appointments now spread out over 3/4 week periods. still working on a couple of things.

thankfully due to all the funds I have received to attend my appointments and the support in general has been amazing. The mixture of medications/treatments have gotten me to the stage where I'm able to work 4 days week now, I'm feeling the best I've felt in a really, really long time. it's quite refreshing. Who knows whats going to happen down the line, But yeah. I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who's contributed in any and every way. I owe it to all of you.
so THANK YOU!

also for anyone who's struggling out there with whatever it may be, know that there is always someone who's willing to listen and be there with you through it all. I'm one of those people, reach out whenever need be, I will listen, I will do whatever I can to turn a frown upside down! and that is a promise I make to you all.

I hope you're all well

Update #19

Hey everyone
Just wanted to post an update as I haven't done so in a while. Sorry about that. Lots going on.

Firstly, I hope you're all well and coping with all thats going on.

Secondly I want to thank each and every one of you for the donation and support over this whole period. Truly means the world to me and has made such a difference to my life and recovery! Really and truly appreciate all of it!

Lastly, ive been feeling.pretty good of late. Symptoms have been settling alot more and for longer periods of time. I still have a fair way to go and the appointments are still ongoing for now. Getting me back to full strength and back into living a fuller life sooner than later. Long road ahead. I'm up for the challenge.. And with your support makes it that much easier for myself.

I have started to work a little bit more., building it up over time. Trying not to push myself too hard to get the funds. I'm abit stubborn like that, but I know I can't push too much too early.

Big change as well with getting gout, just a side note though. Not the biggest issue.

Anyhow. Thats all from me for now.

Hope you're all well and stay safe.

Anyone who can donate, still so appreciative and helps me in more ways than I can put to words.

Thank you all

Much love
Chaim xx

Update #18

to whom it may concern,

only one more week until my campaign is finished, please help me reach my target as it will help me afford all the appointments which i most desperately need at this point in time!

the punches just keep being thrown at me, during this last week a blood test confirmed that i somehow got gout "Gout is a type of arthritis caused by too much uric acid in the bloodstream. Excess uric acid can form solid urate crystals within joints, which causes severe pain and swelling. Gout can be successfully managed with healthy lifestyle choices and medical treatment"so i have had to take some time off work, and i will have to see afew more people to recover from this. get the right advice on what is best for me to do at this point in time for it. hope it'l last a couple weeks, but time will tell.

i know it looks like I've raised a lot of money and i'm sure a lot of you would be thinking where its all going. surely he would have some left.. i don't! this has been happening since the end of 2017 again and all of my appointments have been costing me so much due to it all being in the 'private' sector of medication.

i still have some crucial appointments coming up, all equating to north of $2800(raised $350 so far, please help me with the remaining $2450) next week, i'm truly desperate for a helping hand and in need of some more support right now. please help me if you can, any amount will help contribute to this and i'm truly grateful for it. I haven't been able to raise enough money to afford everything which i NEED at the moment.

please forward my campaign around to everyone! especially those who you think would be willing and able to contribute to help me.

thanks for your time and your support. means the world to me

be well

Update #17

hey all,
I've recently been having meetings with my neurologist, GP, psychologist, neuropsych and physio about the medications I've been taking and where to go from here. it's been an incredible month and a half now for me. I have been able to get out more, exercise and will hopefully be starting some work for a couple hours a day this week.
the downside to all of this is I've been struggling with my mental health of late, not sure if its due to struggling to get back into the world, or if its due to the amount of life I've missed already due to this condition or if it actually is the medications causing this spike in my mental symptoms.

when i say mental symptoms i refer to the depression which just comes on at any point in time.. and the anxiety which travels all the way throughout my body from head to toe. we're trying to find ways in which i can still be on these medications for my physical health and help the mental battle as well.

i will keep you all updated when we know more of whats to come.

would like to thank each and every one of you for the amazing contributions, donations and messages.. i still have a long way to go and will need all the help and support i can get.

please continue to share, donate and spread awareness for this condition which im battling with so we an help myself along with many others suffering around the world.

thank you all!

Update #16

hey everyone,
my neurologist along with my doctor and a couple of new specialists have recently had another meeting, and i will be testing out a whole range of medications to see if they can help give me relief or some relief throughout the days so i can potentially work abit, or go for a run again etc.
i will hopefully be starting tomorrow and will keep you all updated on how it all goes.

I have also gotten in touch with a company called Mind Medicine Australia, so will see what they have to offer aswell.

want to thank each and every one of you who have donated to my cause up until this point, it truly means alot to me and has helped me in more ways than i can ever put into words!
please continue to share as the more awareness which is spread, the more the world will know and care about it.

thank you and all the best

Update #15

to whom it may concern,

I have recently been forced into reopening my campaign after the little allowance i get from the government has been stopped for now due to lack of medical evidence for my condition, i will be working with my neurologist to get it reinstated.

over the last couple of weeks i have been seeing a new doctor who's specializes in concussions now. I've had some blood tests done and nothing in that has been affecting my concussion symptom which is both a positive and a negative. there is no physical damage on my brain after having a special MRI a couple of weeks ago now down in geelong.

I will be seeing him over the next few months doing a range of things which includes Neurofeedback and using a PONS device at some point. we're not sure of the exact costs of it all yet, but at the moment it is costing me $225 a session and might be a little more when we get to those above mentioned.

I feel as though the fact that I've raised more than $14,000 has been scaring people away, maybe questioning "where is all that money going" "why does he need so much" or just simply they dont know much or anything about concussions or this damning condition.

my appointments and specialists vary from $80-$1000(+) and on 2 occasions $2500 and $2800 independently.

most of which are neurologists and brain specialists in which we have to use machines which are not available at any regular hospital or medical care center. these are for tests and after those tests we put some treatments into play, and see over a couple of months the outcome. (each check up costs $$)

so that is where all the money is going and why i need so much... i haven't gotten any better since November of 2017 again. i haven't been able to do any kind of work since then.

back in 2013-2015 i used more than $20,000 of my own savings, along with some help from friends to afford the appointments and treatments.

i understand this is a condition not many people know about, but this is a damn life sentence! yes, it may not be well known or heard about such as cancer or a heart disease, but this is just as deadly with the mental battle being just as damaging as the physical on a second to second basis!

every single donation will help me out immensely!!

PLEASE SHARE, PLEASE DONATE AND PLEASE SPREAD AWARENESS.

thanks so much!

Update #14

to whom it may concern,

my campaign will be ending in just 24 hours from now and i will not be renewing it, i feel as though the fact that I've raised more than $14,000 has been scaring people away, maybe questioning "where is all that money going" "why does he need so much" or just simply they dont know much or anything about concussions or this damning condition.

i understand this is a condition not many people know about, but this is a damn life sentence! yes, it may not be cancer or a heart disease, but this is just as deadly with the mental battle being just as damaging as the physical on a minute to minute basis!

they started by finding the condition post concussion syndrome and chronic traumatic encephalopathy after doing autopsies on people who were completely healthy in every other aspect of their lives besides for suffering for multiple concussions. they committed suicide.. left their loved ones.. their young ones..their friends and everyone else in their lives at that point in time, because noone understood.. and noone wanted to understand what it was about.

ITS TIME TO WAKE UP!

lets not wait for more people in Australia to commit suicide or whatever else they do to catch up to america and other countries around the world with concussion research and awareness.

every single donation will help me out immensely!!

Update #10

hey all,
just continuing on from my last update. I've recently gone to see the behavioral optometrist due to us (the team im working with at the epworth hospital) believing that there has been something adjusted with my eyes due to the concussions, which in turn has been forcing me to put a lot more effort into using them everyday. which would be adding to the pain in my head and the fatiguing. we;ve found some scratching in the eyes and afew other things wrong. but not sure if it'll help with the pain. it might help with the fatigue which would be a massive improvement for me. im going to be starting some eye treatment/therapy over the next couple of weeks. along with working with my team at the epworth which consists of a psychologist, exercise physiologist, neurologist and a physio.
reaching out for some help financially again, any and all donations go straight towards my appointments/treatments.
thanks to all those that have donated up until now, truly means the world to me and helps me out in more ways than i can put to words.

much love to you all

Update #9

hey all
another update here. have been feeling really down of late due to everything which has been happening, not being able to exercise as much as id like due to the fatigue/dizziness etc.. weight gain has been abit of an issue for me mentally. i have some important appointments coming up with the behavioral optometrist to see if we can fix the issue with my eyes which may be the cause of the pain in my head.
having a treadmill test at the hospital to test out my fatigue and the dizziness factor. and seeing a neurological psychologist as well.

unfortunately there is no timeline for my recovery, here i am reaching out for some support once again. any and every donation goes towards these appointments i have coming up and future appointments/ treatments that i may need.

wanna thank everyone who has donated and reached out to me already, means the world! please continue to share my campaign around, not just for me.. but for the many people around the world who suffer from this not very well known condition. you're doing more than you think just by sharing it and spreading awareness :)

love you all and be well

Update #8

hey all,
i have recently been able to have more assessments done due to the amazing contributions i have received through my campaign.
positives from it- weve found that there are a few more things in my head contributing to the constant pain. i cant remember the medical terms, but there is something wrong behind my eyes due to the hits i sustained. which in turn has affected my balance, vision and is causing me to put a lot more effort into everyday living to be able to see properly etc.
i will be going to see a behavioral optometrist in the coming weeks to see what we can do to improve all of the above mentioned.
have also started working with another neurologist and exercise physiologist.
hoping to have some positive news to give you all in the coming weeks. time will tell.

again, without all the support both financially and people checking in on me i wouldn't have even gotten this far.. i thank you all!

please continue to share my campaign around for awareness, it takes a couple of seconds to share it around and you could be helping the process of saving alot of peoples lives in the near future.

love to you all

Update #7

hey everyone, another update here.
unfortunately things didn't work out with the physio. my symptoms have been getting worse each week, physically has been a challenge and mentally been the battle is getting tougher...
i've been recommended to go see some specialists of which i'll be going into a concussion clinic tomorrow for an assessment and then will see what they can offer to help my recovery.
ive also been recommended to go see someone at the national institute of integrative medicine.. unfortunately his prices arent all too affordable at the moment for me ( $1085, which includes the assessment and any treatments/medications)
and then there is also a headache clinic if those options dont help me with my recovery.
im truly grateful for all those who've helped me afford all the appointments i have tried, and the specialists ive seen .
here i am reaching out for help financially once again, any donation helps.. it all adds up. please share this with your family, friends, work colleagues, share with everyone you know.. not only will all donations help me with my recovery and get, (what i hope to be) the right treatment to get me better. but will also be spreading awareness for this shit of a condition, which affects many people around the world today.

thank you to all those who've donated..contributed and reached out to me... means so damn much to me.
much love to you all xx
