The Burlingame Public library needs you! Join in the campaign to enhance and preserve it for the next generation. No donation too small for #givingtuesday (12/2 - 12/31)
As part of the Renovation Project, The Tech Media Lad was created to enhance the Library's offerings of technology programs and to provide the community with a place to teach and learn 21st century skills. It boasts 20 laptops, 3 Mac computers with the latest creative software, built-in overhead projector with web conferencing capabilities and a photo scanner that can digitize 80 photos per minute.
Since opening, the Lab has hosted 'Girls Who Code' - educating young women in software programming, 'APP Development Workshop' - teaching young people how to create basic apps, 'Computer Help Drop-In Classes' - run by both adult and teen volunteers, SAT/ACT classes for Teens, and Small Business Start Up classes - provided with the help of Phase2Careers and Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center.
Your donation will continue to facilitate individual and group online learning programs, digital content and video game creation, as well as other technology-focused programs for children, teens and adults.
Now it’s up to you! Donate today and join with the many others in our community who have stepped up and become part of this great effort to strengthen our century-long commitment to literacy and learning.
