2020 has been a challenging year to say the least and due to COVID-19, we are unable to host this year's event. But that doesn't mean we are not giving back to the community. For 2020 it's all about giving.
Build Putt Give is now Give Give Give
For those of you that don't know our charity, it's called Build Putt Give. Essentially, teams mostly comprised of engineering and surveying companies build mini-golf holes out of food items that are donated to a local food bank. After the building of the holes, players can compete in the mini-golf tournament or just mingle and enjoy great food. There is also a raffle for great prizes. Additionally, we raise money for Scholarships to UNF Engineering students. Over the past 6 years we have donated 48,400 pounds of food to families in need. We have also donated $5,750 to UNF Engineering Students and $1,000 to the Kate Amato Foundation.

People need our help now more than ever and I know we will not them down. As most of us are working remotely, we understand that food collection and donation will be a challenge. The good news is that our partners at BEAM Food Bank can turn monetary donations into food that will be delivered directly to those that need it most. There are two categories and multiple selections in each.

We thought it best to forgo all the Trophies, Plaques, Awards and Prizes so that all of the money can go to those in need. I know our industry has been affected, but compared to most we are still doing fairly well. Think of all those people who have lost their jobs, or have had their hours reduced and some have even lost their businesses. No donation is too small. $50 provides a senior 8 meals or can provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four. Last year we raised 12,900 pounds of food, so how about this year we raise over $10,000 in donations. That would feed over 1000 children meals and snacks for 2 weeks. I know this community won't let us down.
Thanks for all of your continued support.
