My name is Aurora Cossio. I’m a Colombian Psychologist, Laughter Therapist, and actress. I was born with a medical condition called P.O.T.S also known as dysautonomia. My autonomic nervous system does not work like the one of a regular person. There are days when it’s difficult for me to fend for myself and do activities, even some of the simplest ones. It has been a long process to understand that my chronic medical condition is my “Mentor” and it came into my life to prepare me to be the Therapist I am today. Going through physical and emotional pain has led me to empathize with the pain and needs of others, and it’s there that I found in the moments of pain, depression, and sadness that laughter is my best ally and I have turned it into a lifestyle. My Partner in this project Victor Mares, a Mexican Producer slash Actor had been battling depression since 2016.  Through therapy his condition has improved  however, it is now that due to laughter therapy he experiencing a bigger leap in the right direction to a better life. Life has united us to work from our love on this project, “Buenos días Alegría” (Good morning Happiness). Our goal is to create an App to reach in particular the Hispanic Community around the world through our Podcast, specially those places that were affected the most during this pandemic with depression and a high rate of suicides. Symptoms of depression were reported 59% more frequently by Hispanic adults, at 40.3% than white adults at 25.3% in the US. The cases of suicides in all of Latin America greatly increased during this pandemic. We strongly believe that we can educate through laughter millions of adults that have forgotten and are disconnected from their inner child. A medical condition or an illness hasn't limit us to become the successful actors we are today, we both work in parallel in our careers as actors, writers, and producers. We are making our time and talents available to inspire as many people as possible and today we ask for an extra help so that our dream of being heard around the world becomes a reality.  We are 100% certain that laughter and smiling can change the lives of many.
