Hi everyone, we are raising money for Lauren to help her with her dog, Buddy's medical bills, as the emergency surgery was very costly.
Buddy's Story- on Saturday Lauren was baking peanut butter cookies, and finished the jar of peanut butter. Her three labs LOVE peanut butter. So they used a spatula to scrape the jar and give them each a lick. Well, Buddy took it upon himself to take the entire end of the silicone spatula and swallow it in .0001 seconds. It was gone. She rushed him to the emergency vet and they induced vomiting. Nada. They did x-rays to confirm it was in his stomach, which it was. They recommended a scope. They agreed after speaking with their amazing vet. Everyone was pretty confident that they could remove it since it was silicone and flexible. They could not get it out. They tried for a couple of hours. They called and said they needed to remove it
and the final option was surgery. It was far too large to pass. Buddy underwent surgery for another few hours. They tacked his stomach while they were in there. He is now recovering well.
