Bruce Earl Nelson of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away at his home surrounded by family on August 3, 2020, at the age of 68 years.
Bruce was born on November 19, 1951, to Earl and Maxine (Carr) Nelson in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bruce was an alumnus of Malcolm High School who graduated in 1970 and lived in Malcolm for the majority of his life.
He married Lucinda Diem on June 11, 1981, who survived him. Bruce was also survived by son Benjamin (Gardenia) Nelson, grandchildren Christian, Bishop, Brielle, mother Maxine Herman (Andre), and brother Byron (Cheryl) Nelson. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Earl Nelson, and mother-in-law Jeanie Tuttle.
Among his numerous passions in life, Bruce will be most remembered by his family and friends as a guitarist who loved music and an avid reader of philosophy. He also enjoyed photography, iron crafting, writing music and poetry.
To honor Bruce’s wishes he was cremated without a funeral service.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
