Hi All!! As I'm sure most of you know, I'm Elsa Glorioso, 2022 Broker of the Year finalist.
Tuesday, while we all were gathered in Austin, TX, a little more than 150 miles from us, a senseless event was unfolding. The platform that has been provided to me can extend far greater than benefits. I know we are all passionate about the jobs we do and the clients we serve. We do everything heart first. I know this because, I stopped a few of you on my way out of the conference yesterday and asked for your support. I told you to give me a few moments to process and I would be in touch. Thank you for being on board!
Jessica Brooks-Woods and I couldn't get the tragic events that happened Tuesday out of our heads. I didn't want this to be and stay only a thought. I wanted to put boots or dollars on the ground to help these families respectably bury their children and seek mental health support for themselves.
I am also working on getting in contact with the Uvalde school district to ensure mental health access is being provided to the family members that will live on with this trauma.
I've gone with $10,500 in hopes that we can donate $500 to each family that lost a loved one. If you can donate, thank you. If not, all I ask is you share this with your LinkedIn network, and we get the word out there. I will post updates as the funds grow and I gather more information and make donations.
Thank you to everyone that stopped me or messaged me to talk about this. Thank you, @Paul Wilson, for acknowledging this tragic event and the moment of silence yesterday morning.
I will post donation updates and images to ensure the funds go directly to the families. Not all families have created a go fund me account yet, but I will update the list as they become available and are verified via charity navigator. Thank you, everyone!!!!
PS... I included the article below to confirm families that have set up a go fund me.
