Broke Queers Need a Car!

Broke Queers Need a Car!

From Morgan Niles

Our little family is struggling really badly with getting by. We are both partially disabled and a car would help mitigate some of the problems associated with physical and financial strain from our commute times.

As some of y'all may know, we spent a good chunk of last year homeless, living in our van trying to find work and housing. Eventually we DID manage to achieve those things but in the process and since then we've lost a companion, a van and a partner.  Making ends meet with just two incomes instead of three is proving really difficult, especially since one of our jobs is dog walking all over the city and over 2/3 of our workday is commuting by bus.  This severely limits our ability to increase our income, as we are both partially disabled (fibromyalgia and ptsd) and don't have a lot of potential work avenues available to accomodate that.

Anything y'all could do to help us get a "new" used car, even a beater (we're good at fixing shit) would help us out TREMENDOUSLY with working towards being stable on our feet instead of lurching from crisis to crisis as we'd be able to both increase our work loads and open up other jobs and side hustles that we're cut off from at the moment due to transportation issues.

Thanks y'all!
