At the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival students compete for scholarships and participate in life-changing workshops that celebrate theatre and education. Our students are funding part of this trip.
Hey guys! Bit of a favor here. Every January, Bradley sends a group of our theatre students to KCACTF, where we can compete for scholarships along with participating in amazing workshops. Students from across the midwest make up our region, and KCACTF is a chance to meet and learn from our fellow artists.
I myself am nominated for the Irene Ryan Scholarship for my performance as Annie Cannon in Silent Sky. We have 5 other nominees as well.
Emma O'Mahoney- Henrietta- Silent Sky
Susan Falk- Elinor- Sense and Sensibility
Ashleigh Madaris- Marianne- Sense and Sensibility
Maggie Sullivan- Molly- Peter and the Starcatcher
Joe King- Smee- Peter and the Starcatcher
Each of us invites a partner along as well, creating a total of 12 of us in our group. Unlike previous years, the university is not going to be completely covering this trip for us. Many of the students in our Bradley group will be unable to go if we can't make the money ourselves. The KCACTF experience is invaluable towards our growth as theatre artists, and we would greatly appreciate your help! Happy Holidays everyone!
