The Bustamante family are very good friends of mine from my time living in Ecuador as a missionary. They fed me lunch nearly every day for 7 months, and provided a loving, family environment for me every time I visited. It's safe to say that they are some of my dearest friends and were so helpful and charitable to me, and many others.
The Bustamantes have three children, two daughters and one son. It was recently discovered that their son, Bradly, has damaged blood vessels in his face. Turns out that these blood vessels are in turn damaging his optical nerves and the bones in his face. The surgery that is required to mitigate the damage and repair the blood vessels could cost upwards of $30,000. On top of this, the surgery may only be available in the US.
$30,000 is a huge amount, and so I've set the goal for this fundraiser much lower. Even if we don't reach the goal, any amount of money will be extremely helpful to the family.
