I'm raising money for my 33 year old brother. On 9/3/2018 he was involved in a single car rollover and was found 50 feet from the car. Please help with medical bills.
JD is at home still and getting better everyday. He is doing more and remembering more. He was able to get the tube out of his stomach and was able to go to the dentist to get his teeth fixed.
All the money that is raised by this campaign will go directly to the care and help that my 33 year old brother is going to need during his recovery. On 9/3/2018 he was involved in a single car rollover where something went wrong with the tire and he was thrown 50 feet from the car. JD is lucky to be alive and does have some brain injury's we are not sure how much at this time. He is working hard to recover and this is to help him to that. Thank you for all you support. I will post updates when I have more information on his progress.
So as far as his physical abilities go he is doing amazing. He is walking twice a day without his belt , vacuuming out the car, and helping out with lunch. Now we are working on his memory so when you come by please ask him if he knows who you are when you arrive then ask him who you are when you leave. We are also working with him on remembering when he was born ( March 1 , 1985) Thank you for all of your help.
Well JD came home on Wednesday and is getting into a routine. He is liking being home and my parents love that he is out of the hospital. So as for your donations we appreciate everything. My mom was able to pay for JD's medication that he needed at home with some of the money that was donated. Thanks again for everyone caring and pulling for my brother to get better. Also if you would like to visit JD is in Vaughn at my parents home.
JD is now able to shuffle and deal the cards when we play games. I know that may sound like a little thing, but he wasn't able to do it yesterday. He also beat me fair and square in a game of cribbage. He did his own cards and all I did was help him count his total. He was also able to say the month and year that he was born. This is working on his short term memory. We are currently working on getting him to remember what we tell him and remember in 20 seconds.
JD is now in lock down. So when you go to his room 211 at Benifis West you will need to pick up the phone and say who you are. Yes the lock down is because of JD he is now out of his tent and able to walk the halls. The staff at the hospital just don't want him to leave and not find his way back. Our goal right now is for him to be home in a week. He will be going home to our parents house where they can be there for him all day. The staff is getting the family trained to help JD in his recovery. I will let you know more when it comes to reality of him coming home. Our family is so thankful for all the prayers, thoughts , and support. I know that everyone pulling for JD is sending good vibes his way and is helping in his recovery. He is also wanting to go hunting and fishing when he gets out.
Thanks to all of your support JD is now walking outside and up stairs. He is getting to where he is able to have a conversation with others. There are still times where you can't understand what he wants to say, but he is trying and making an effort. He is pushing himself everyday. The doctor's are very proud of his progress so far. Your donations are being used for medical bills that he will have and things that he will need when he gets ready to come home. Thank you so much for all your help.
Jd is getting stronger and stronger everyday thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers and encouragement. He is now able to walk with little to no help. He is also talking more and more. Somethings you can understand were other things aren't making sense. He is working on getting his thoughts out so that we can understand him and he will get there. He is also on the move. If you know JD he could never sit still so right now he is in a tent for his safety so that way he doesn't get up and fall. He is still too unsteady to stand without help. Thank you all for everything he said to tell you all hi for him.
JD got his trach out today and is trying to speak. It is still hard to understand him, but he is trying. He is also wanting to walk and stand more often. He hates laying in that bed. He is working so hard to get better. Thank you for all your support.
So JD is at Benifis west rehabilitation center on the second floor. He is doing good with the therapy. They are able to walk him everyday and working on his speech. The speech lady said that he can understand 40% of what people are saying. So please keep visiting him so that he can understand you. Our family just asks that you don't visit after 8 pm so that he is able to get what he needs out of rehab. Also thank you everyone for the donations it has helped with some medical expenses so that JD doesn't have to worry when he gets better about those bills. He currently does not have any medical insurance. Thank you so much for all your support everything helps.
The doctors are saying that if JD doesn't have a high temperature in the next 48 hours he will be discharged from the hospital and put in a rehab facility here in great falls. I will let you know more when he moves. Thank you for all the support and food being made for my parents. We appropriate everything and hope that you all are doing well.
Thank you everyone for all your prayers, thoughts, and support. JD is doing better and better everyday. He is walking everyday now sometimes twice a day. Today he has been really tiered and resting. He also is now able to write down on a white board what he wants . He is still not able to talk yet but he will get there.
So to update everyone JD was able to walk around his floor with two people helping him. They did try a walker, but it is just too soon for that. The speech therapist came in and tried to get him to talk. He is still unable to vocalize the words but is able to mouth them. He will get to where he can talk again it's just going to take time. Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to keep everyone updated. Post in the comments if there is anything you would like to know about his progress. Thank you for all your support.
9/10/2018 Today was a good day JD was able to get out of bed and walk with help to a chair. He is now able to mouth the words hi, yes, and no. Everyday he is staying awake longer and doing more. The healing is a slow process but he will get better with all our help and prayers. Thank you for all you help and support during this time of healing.
