More Info

Boston Queer Dance Workshops are an ongoing project to build space where queer folks can simply dance around joyfully with other queer people. Queer bodies, particularly trans bodies, the bodies of queer people of color, acespec and arospec bodies, and disabled queer bodies, are constantly and regularly policed by the society we live in. Dance is an opportunity us folks to reclaim a positive, healthy relationship with our bodies. We center that practice around values of joy, body autonomy, community, and inclusion.

Out workshops are met with enthusiasm and gratitude, and even the wish that they are available every week (soon, hopefully!) It is something we need and which will hopefully be able to grow to serve every queer person in Boston who needs to dance (even if they don't already know it).

Money goes directly towards paying for the spaces we use and the excellent teachers we have. While we do take in money through workshop fees, it is not enough to cover these costs.

As this is an ongoing project searching for stability, please consider making a smaller, monthly donation, if possible. $1/month goes a long way, simply for its reliability.
