Two years ago we spent 3.5 months in the NICU at BCH. It was by far the most difficult and stressful 3.5 months of our lives. On top of being in the hospital we were completely broke, unable to pay our bills and racking up credit card and hospital debt every day. Our worries were greatly alleviated by generous donations made to NICU families by organizations and individuals.
One month, it helped us pay rent. Another month it helped us literally buy food. Another month it helped with daily travel to and from the hospital.
Now that we are two years out of the NICU and in a better place both mentally and financially, we'd like to give back and help a family like ours who is having a difficult time financially on top of going through one of the most difficult times in their lives.
While we're doing better, we're still not in a place where we can give a big enough chunk to truly help. So we're rallying up our people to help alleviate a NICU family in need.
Instead of getting the girls material gifts, we ask that you give them the gift of understanding the joy of helping another human being. Literally anything helps. And we appreciate it so much.
