More Info

Due unforeseen and devastating effects of the Russian-Ukraine war, the organizers of this years’ Borsch Camp at Burning Man will not be in attendance, as they are directly involved protecting their home country of Ukraine.

This fundraiser was created to fund the Borsch Camp, so that we may continue to support Ukrainian during these uncertain times, share its rich culture, and spread their promise to hospitality and care with all residents of Burning Man.

With the full support of the Borsch Camp founders, we—Feras Bashnak, Alina Yamaeva, and Arthur Onni —are ready to make every effort to make this camp live on Burning Man 2022.

A portion of the funds will be used to organize the camp, and the other will be given to organizations and communities in Ukraine who are fighting to provide hot food to those in need. Their details are below:

Coffee in the closet (Kava u shafi)

Kharkiv city

Every day, the "Kava I shafi" team prepares and delivers lunches for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hospitals and, if possible, provides targeted assistance to the elderly and those with minimum resources to feed their families.

Together, their employees and volunteers do the impossible: during the bombing of Kharkiv, they found strength, contacted and connections in order to coordinate, found food, disposable tableware, brought it to the kitchen and prepared up to 700 servings a day to those in need.

Kharkiv city

Since the first day of the war, Kirill has been delivering food packages to the elderly, the poor, and those who reside in cities that are under attack. At their own expense and and with the help of compassionate people, Kirrill has and continues to provide aide to hundreds of people.

If you’d like to join our camp and cook borsch with us in the support of Ukraine DM us on Instagram @borschcamp2022. We will do our best to assist with tickets and RV space if you have not already booked.
