A Book Drive to support the My Stuff Bags foundation - providing duffels of new belongings to children arriving at crisis shelters with little or nothing of their own.

My PaperPie team and I are partnering with the My Stuff Bags foundation to fill duffel bags for children in crisis all over our country. My Stuff Bags is an amazing organization that works alongside many child welfare agencies in almost every state. They provide duffel bags full of items for children who are placed into foster care emergently, often with nothing at all. It is their mission to provide these children with a piece of dignity and love.
This charity is very close to my heart, I adopted two grandsons and I was a licensed Foster Care Parent.
It is my deepest desire to utilize my resources as effectively as possible and to give back to our community and country. It's often a dream of mine to help during a crisis, and yet, I don't feel as if my small contribution can possibly help in a significant way. Through this book drive, I am able to partner with donors like you, and together, we make a HUGE impact! Over the past six years, my team has sent over $350,000 worth of books to the My Stuff Foundation— how AMAZING is THAT?!
Your donation will allow us to purchase books for all ages. For the younger children; "Cuddle Bear" comes with a teddy bear plush. It is a book about unconditional love and comfort. For the older children; "No Worries!" and "Hello, Happy!" are filled with age-appropriate activities that help the children to define and understand their feelings, and discover paths to happiness, peace and positivity. They also help children cope with anxiety and stress, assist in working out how and why they feel worried, encourage them to talk to others about their worries, and feel calmer. Additionally this year, we'll be sending mystery bags filled with baby & toddler board books and read-alouds!

Younger ones will be blessed with a variety of read-aloud stories or age-appropriate board books, while the Mindful Kids series books will help older kids to define and understand their feelings. You're giving them coping strategies using fun activities with your gift!
