About "Sweet Dreams for Kids":

"Sweet Dreams for Kids" is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that donates new pajamas to kids in the hospital. We started Sweet Dreams for Kids after our youngest child, who is now 13 years old, was born with cancer. She is our walking miracle and inspires people every single day. We feel cute, cozy, and comfortable pajamas help take the "ICK" out of being SICK. We want to bring smiles to kids in the hospital, and bring a little feeling of home when they have to be in the hospital. We know it does not take away any of the worries when a child is sick, but we hope it brings a little piece of comfort to the child and the family. Our dream is for every single Children's hospital to be filled with new, bright, and fun pajamas instead of hospital ones. We want to give back to others and this is the lesson we are trying to teach: when you give to others you will become happier.

Sweet Dreams for Kids has donated over 15,000 new pajamas to various hospitals in Minnesota and other Children's Hospitals around the country. We want that number to grow. Sweet Dreams for Kids was the subject of several feature stories on television news programs as well as magazines. We feel it is hard enough knowing your child is ill, but hospital pajamas are that constant reminder. We know this will bring a little more sunshine to everyone. Purpose of the Fundraiser:

My husband and I have a 2.5 year old and an 8 month old. Our 2.5 year old daughter was in-an-out of the doctor's office and MN Children's Hospital for a large portion of her first year due to ongoing acute illnesses, requiring overnight stays, surgery, and missing holidays. Had we known about this organization during that difficult time, it would have brought more cheer and comfort to those hospital visits.

So, fast-forward to present day, my husband and I are members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, MN. For this Lenten season, the church distributed a total of $15,000 (in various amounts ranging from $5-$50) to its members so that we could experience God's blessings and ultimately be a blessing in our community by giving it away to others in need.

When choosing where to donate, it was important to us to find an organization that our daughter could understand, relate to, and be introduced to the meaning of "helping our community." When we described the "Sweet Dreams for Kids" organization to her, her eyes lit up and she could empathize with the kids that this organization serves. Therefore, we have decided to raise money and boost awareness for this incredible organization in an effort to bless other families in Minnesota and across the country who can benefit from "Sweet Dreams for Kids." Please note, that we are coordinating this fundraiser with the founder of "Sweet Dreams for Kids," Wendy Berezovsky.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY & BLESSINGS!!

Update #3

Hello friends and family!

In case you haven’t heard, our family is working with our church’s Radical Giving campaign to raise funds for “Sweet Dreams for Kids”.

"Sweet Dreams for Kids" is a nonprofit organization that donates new pajamas to kids in the hospital to help take the "ICK" out of being "SICK" and bring a little feeling of home when they have to be in the hospital for extended periods of time.

To date we have received $295 and 24 pairs of pajamas to donate to this charity. In a little under a week’s time we will meet with the charity founder to present the check and pajama donations.

If you are still considering donating and/or learning more about this awesome charity, please check out the link below.

Due to COVID-19, children in hospitals now have even more restricted contact with friends and family than ever before. Small comforts like pajamas are even more important to making hospitals feel a little more like home during a time that is not very fun.

With only 6 days left, monetary donations are preferred in order to minimize potential germ transfer. However pajama donations are still OK and very helpful. If you would like to donate pajamas, please send a personal message to Betsy.

A HUGE thank you to those who have already donated!!! (Neil, Matt, Kiki, Sara, Susan, Jessie, Katie, and Beth to name a few)

Thank you for considering helping us raise money for this great organization.

Update #1

The great news: "Sweet Dreams for Kids" is expanding and receiving more pajama donations and publicity than ever before (reaching kids across the nation & some countries)!

What this means: "Sweet Dreams for Kids" has moved the large amount of pajama donations from a residential house to a large storage unit; requiring new monthly fees. Also, the expansion of donations across the globe has added high shipping fees.

What we are asking from you:
1. Please consider donating to this fundraiser! 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be given to "Sweet Dreams for Kids" by March 29, 2020.
2. Please "like" the "Sweet Dreams for Kids" Facebook page!

Our family will be meeting with the founder of "Sweet Dreams for Kids" and her daughter (who inspired this charity) to present the donation from this fundraiser at the end of the month. We will post a final update with a summary and pictures when the campaign is complete.

Thank you for your consideration!
